God Can Mend Your Union

God Can Mend Your Union

It’s no secret that being in a healthy relationship has positive benefits emotionally and mentally. We, as humans, have an inherent desire to connect with others. This can occur in romantic relationships, friendships, or familial relationships. Being in a good relationship can also have a keen effect on our physical well-being and put us in better health as well. These close connections can be long-lasting for both of you.

People who are in a healthy relationship love, support, and encourage each other. They also make time for each other, respect and trust one another, communicate, and engage in healthy activities together. A few benefits that a supportive and loving relationship can add to your life and the life of others. Some benefits can be reduced stress, help you become a better person, establish healthier behaviors, help you live longer, and give you a sense of purpose.

It’s only natural for us to want to feel needed and be a part of something. Despite the type of relationship you develop, it takes commitment, time, support, and honesty. Not every relationship is perfect all the time, and only you will know if whether any relationship is worth the effort.
The main thing is not to give up. Too many of us turn to divorce after feeling discouraged and believing there is no way of reviving a loveless marriage.

It's Never Too Late

Marriage is a blessing from God, and He can heal it if you turn to Him. There are ways you can work together to let God in to help. Praying together is a direct line of communication with Him. Let His wisdom and guidance build a bridge of understanding between you both. Make another important commitment to your spouse and pray together. The power of prayer can help you focus on the positive and reflect on the ways your spouse aids in your own strengths. Remember His perfect love for you and use this at a model for the way you will reflect love with your spouse.

Stay committed and focused. It will take time to heal and won't happen overnight. As long as you both are willing to put in the time, restoring your marriage will have a positive end result. There is also nothing wrong with seeking counseling. It can simply involve a few sessions with some homework. Give it a try, it may be cheaper than a divorce.
