Rachel Campos-Duffy: Giving a Shout Out to At-Home Motherhood

Rachel Campos-Duffy is a woman known too many as one of the cast members of MTV’s The Real World: San Fransisco, but she is so much more than that. Campos-Duffy is a television personality, pundit, blogger, speaker, and author. The Arizona native was raised in a strict Catholic home along with her three siblings. She attended Arizona State University with a degree in economics and planned to attend graduate school with the hopes of becoming a college professor. She instead got her master's degree in international affairs from the University of California at San Diego.

After her time on the hit reality show, The Real World: San Fransisco, she would then get a call from Barbra Walters and ‘The View’ which led to a 15-year relationship making appearances. Over the years, she would audition for a spot but finally lost to Jenny McCarthy. But that’s okay. During that time, she realized that God had her where she needed to be.

She was happy and satisfied doing something that had more meaning- being at home raising her family. Her husband, also an alumna of The Real World reality show, Wisconsin Republican Rep. Sean Duffy, met in 1998, have eight children and currently expecting their ninth.
Campos-Duffy is the author of Stay Home, Stay Happy: 10 Secrets to Loving At-Home Motherhood in which she “offers simple and practical advice that can transform the way you view your days, your relationships, your home, your mind, and your body.” In an interview with Pioneer Press, she mentions that the book is, “a love letter to at-home moms.” She goes on to say that the book isn't about choosing to be a stay-at-home mom or not, but if you do decide to stay at home, how to enjoy it.

She currently has another book coming out in the fall called Paloma Wants to be Lady Freedom about a first generation immigrant girl and her father becoming an American citizen. Campos-Duffy is a Fox News Channel contributor, host of FOX Nation’s Moms, and a national spokesperson for The LIBRE Initiative. She and her husband reside in Wausau, WI, with their growing family.
